Just Enjoying the area

Well, we are getting familiar with our new surroundings. Yesterday we took a ride to Mission,Texas. That's about forty miles from Palm Gardens. We stopped in Donna and thought we would check out Victoria Palms RV Park. We had heard many good things about the park, but thought there would be no vacancies. We found it to be very nice, and went to the office to see about any vacancies. They did have four sites open, and only one that we would fit in. We reserved for January 15 to March 15. VPRP is in the center of the Rio Grand Valley, and close to Progesso Mexico. There are many places to see, and hopefully we will enjoy most of them. We found a place that grows navel oranges, and grapefruit. We got four of each,----$1.00. Love the fresh citrus!! We've been having it every morning. We have a lot of exploring to do while here at Palm Gardens. We plan to go to Port Isabel, and South Padre Island tomorrow, or Wednesday. It's nice to be in one place , so we can take our time and not feel like we have to see everything in a week . It's going to be warming up this week and it does seem strange to be with all the Christmas shoppers in our shirt sleeves! Something we are definitely not used to in SE Michigan!!
