Another week has flown by !

The area has been a mass of weather fronts, rain, cold, damp, then warm. We are supposed to get to 65 today. Quite a change from the cool damp 50's. Victoria Palms is so much nicer than the other place, just a short walk to the resturant, and there seems to be something to do all the time. They have a billiard room with around ten tables. I went up the other day and played for about three hours . It was called a round robin. You keep changing tables and partners. It was fun. We, of course, had to check out the local malls. We met with Bobbi and Harry at an outlet mall in Mercedes. H and I bought a cribbage board. I found an online game that I'm using to learn the game. Monday I start a stained glass class, and Carol signed up for Spanish lessons on the same day.
Yesterday, the park had "happy hour" 4pm to 6pm. We went up with our neighbors, and joined another group. They sell beer and wine, free popcorn and you can take a flask . We then caravaned to the Elks Lodge for a fish dinner. They loaded the plate with shrimp, fish, fries, hushpuppies etc. Great dinner!
Carol lost a cap from her tooth at happy hour, so we will be going to Progreso to get it replaced. The neighbor across the street got two caps last year and John next to us had the same dentist last month. It makes us feel better knowing that this dentist has worked on folks we know. Still kind of scary having this done by a Mexican dentist.

Almost forgot--we have seen so many pretty birds including flocks of beautiful parrots, cardinals, woodpeckers and mockingbirds. So yesterday we just had to purchase a bird feeder to lure them to our "yard".
