This week has been a week of recouperating. We both were blessed with nasty head colds plus Carol had the broken cap problem. We were told by a couple folks to go to Progreso to see Dr. Mario Ramirez. We went Tuesday only to find he wasn't available that day. We went to her appointment this morning. It took two hours to prep her for a new bridge. She had to have two teeth pulled and a LOT of drilling! She'll get the permanent bridge next Friday.
We also started our classes this week. My stained glass class has me making a dove. I have learned how to cut glass, and have the pieces cut out. Carol has taken two Spanish lessons so far. Yesterday we went with Bobbi and Harry to the Santa Ana Wildlife Refuge. It's a national park near the Rio Grande and we saw paths coming up from the river bank. One had a bright cloth tied to a tree branch, as if it was a "marker" for the illegals coming across the river from Mexico. I tried to get a picture of it , but did not succeed. It sure makes one wonder how many might attempt coming to the US in that particular spot. We saw some beautiful birds and lots of spanish moss hanging from the trees.
Next Thursday we will be taking the bus to Monterrey Mexico, it's the third largest city in Mexico.
